Vipshop reports 5.5 bln USD in Q4 net revenues
GUANGZHOU, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- China's major online discount retailer Vipshop Holdings Ltd. generated total net revenues of 35.8 billion yuan (about 5.5 billion U.S. dollars) in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2020, maintaining positive net earnings for 33 consecutive quarters, it said in a report on Thursday.
The NYSE-listed company raked in 2.4 billion yuan in terms of the net income attributable to its shareholders during the quarter, calculated by compatible GAAP accounting measures, up 67.7 percent year on year, according to the company.
Vipshop also saw its active customers grow by 37 percent year on year to more than 53 million during the quarter, while its total orders reached 227 million, up 30 percent over the same period the previous year.
Launched in 2008 as Vipshop.com, the company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012, and a year later launched Vip.com.
