BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- The value of products registered by China's insurance asset management companies (AMCs) and private equity (PE) fund managers totaled 975.84 billion yuan (about 150.8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2020, up 71.6 percent year on year, official data showed.
The number of products registered by AMCs and PE fund managers rose 77.31 percent year on year to 461 last year, according to the Insurance Asset Management Association of China.
Out of the total, 434 were registered for debt investment plans and 12 for equity investment plans, with the fund size reaching 819.32 billion yuan and 22.61 billion yuan, respectively, the association said.
A total of 15 insurance PE funds were established last year, with the fund size reaching 133.92 billion yuan.
By the end of last year, China's insurance AMCs and PE fund managers registered 1,794 products, with the fund size totaling nearly 4.16 trillion yuan, according to the association. Enditem
