SAO PAULO, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- A first-half strike from Luciano da Rocha gave Brazilian Serie A leaders Sao Paulo a 1-0 home win over Sport Recife on Sunday and extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches.

Rocha struck with a low first-time drive after a Dani Alves corner in the 13th minute as the Tricolor secured their 13th win from 23 matches this campaign.

Fernando Diniz's men now have a four-point lead over second placed Atletico Mineiro as they bid for their first league title since 2008.

Elsewhere on Sunday, veteran striker Diego Souza scored either side of half-time to help Gremio to a 4-0 home victory over Vasco da Gama.

Cesar Pinares and substitute Lucas Silva were also on target for Renato Gaucho's men, who rose to fourth in the 20-team standings.

Atletico Mineiro were held to a 2-2 home draw by Internacional. Enditem
