BRATISLAVA, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Young Boys of Switzerland progressed to the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round on Wednesday, defeating Slovakia's Slovan Bratislava 3-2 at the Wankdorf Stadium to win 3-2 on aggregate after a 0-0 draw in last week's first leg.

Young Boys took an early lead when Jordan Siebatcheu converted a penalty to make it 1-0 after ten minutes. Slovan had a glorious chance to equalize ten minutes later, but Rafael Ratao's penalty was saved by Young Boys keeper David von Ballmoos, and to add insult to injury, the Swiss side doubled their lead shortly afterwards through Ulisses Garcia.

Early in the second half, Young Boys midfielder Michel Aebischer made it 3-0 with a wonderful free-kick, curving the ball beyond the wall and past helpless Slovan keeper Adrian Chovan.

The Slovakian side pulled a goal back on the hour mark, when Vladimir Weiss's free kick was turned into his own net by Young Boys' Wilfried Kanga, just moments after he had come on as a substitute.

With their tails up, Slovan scored their second goal just two minutes later, when Ratao's pass was seized upon by Ezekiel Henty, who had no trouble scoring from close range.

As time dwindled down, Slovan almost snatched an equalizer in the 86th minute, but Jaba Kanava's rocket was pushed onto the crossbar by von Ballmoos.

Young Boys closed out the win and now face Romanian champions CFR Cluj in the third round.

Slovan Bratislava move down to the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round, with a tie against Gibraltar's champions, the Lincoln Red Imps. Enditem
