BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou City goalkeeper Zhou Yuchen will be ruled out of action for eight to 10 weeks after undergoing an operation on his right knee, the Chinese Super League club said in a statement on Friday.
Zhou twisted his knee in a training and was diagnosed with a ruptured ligament with meniscus tear, read a club statement, adding that Zhou had had surgery last Tuesday and will need up to 10 weeks to recover.
Guangzhou City takes on Changchun Yatai on December 13, one day after China's top flight resumes action after a four-month hiatus. Enditem
